What began in 1826 as a small business founded by Maria Clementine Martin near Cologne Cathedral has grown into a modern corporate group with over 1,500 employees in numerous national and international locations.

Our most famous product, Klosterfrau Melissengeist, has 96 percent brand recognition in Germany and has been a symbol of health and trust for generations. However, the Klosterfrau Group encompasses more than just Melissengeist. Today, we bring together several business divisions under one roof: Consumer Healthcare, Medical, Contract Manufacturing, and Cosmetics. We produce a wide range of products and brands.

Klosterfrau Group Award
Since 2001, the International Klosterfrau Group Award for Research of Airway Diseases in Childhood has been awarded annually on the initiative of Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Dietrich Reinhardt, the International Klosterfrau Group Award for Research of Airway Diseases in Childhood has been awarded annually. Valued at 30,000 euros, the prize honors scientists whose research has significantly contributed to the basic research, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood asthma.
