The Klosterfrau Group: Tradition, Innovation, and Responsibility

One of the most renowned German companies in the healthcare industry, the Klosterfrau Group has a history spanning over 200 years. What began in 1826 as a small business founded by Maria Clementine Martin near Cologne Cathedral has grown into a modern corporate group with over 1,500 employees in numerous national and international locations.

Then as now, the health and well-being of people are at the heart of everything we do, in full alignment with our founder's mission. Our most famous product, Klosterfrau Melissengeist, has 96 percent brand recognition in Germany and has been a symbol of health and trust for generations. However, the Klosterfrau Group encompasses more than just Melissengeist. Today, we bring together several business divisions under one roof: Consumer Healthcare, Medical, Contract Manufacturing, and Cosmetics. We produce a wide range of products and brands.

Then as now, the health and well-being of people are at the heart of everything we do

Guided by scientific knowledge and a commitment to exploring new markets, we have expanded our portfolio steadily with innovative products, evolving into a leading national and international provider of self-medication products. Throughout this growth, we have remained true to our values of taking responsibility, fostering collaboration, shaping the future, and driving success.
