Working in Switzerland
Poland
Although Klosterfrau Group products have been available in Poland for many years, the company established its own subsidiary there in 2015. Since January 2017, MCM Klosterfrau Healthcare Sp. z o.o. has successfully marketed pharmaceuticals, medical products, and dietary supplements, primarily to wholesalers across the country.
Klosterfrau plays an important social role in addition to being a product provider. Since 2021, we have partnered with healthcare professionals to support an antibiotic stewardship initiative that promotes alternative treatment options and reduces the use of antibiotics for respiratory and urinary tract infections.
As a member of the Polish Association of the Self-Medication Industry (PASMI), Klosterfrau actively contributes to the responsible shaping of Poland’s healthcare policy. PASMI unites Polish and international pharmaceutical companies that produce OTC medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, and cosmetics. PASMI is also a member of the European AESGP (Association of the European Self-Care Industry). By participating in PASMI working groups, we can influence legislation and encourage the responsible use of medication.
Czech Republic/Slovak Republic
Klosterfrau products have been available in the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 1994. A dedicated team of 18 employees manages distribution and sales in these markets.
The first Klosterfrau products entered both markets through the pharmaceutical company Bayer in 1994. In 2016, Klosterfrau established its own subsidiary in Prague, marking an important milestone for the region. Today, our team ensures the successful distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and dietary supplements across both countries.
Belgium
Klosterfrau has been present in Belgium for nearly 60 years. What started as Melisana NV in Antwerp in 1964 has grown into a key player in Belgium and Luxembourg. Today, Melisana Consumer Health is headquartered in Evere, near Brussels, in a modern, nearly energy-neutral building that is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
As a trusted partner to pharmacies and healthcare professionals, we offer a wide range of products, including over-the-counter medicines, dietary supplements, medical devices, and cosmetics. Our core expertise lies in providing solutions for coughs, colds, and muscle or joint pain.
